Single-Family Residential
Applicability
Monthly rates are applicable to all single-family home residential services.

Tax Adjustment Clause
Billings under this schedule may be increased by an amount equal to the taxes payable under the Gross Receipts and Compensation Tax Act and all other taxes, fees or charges (exclusive of ad valorem taxes and state and federal income taxes) payable by the New Mexico Water Service Co. and levied or assessed by any governmental authority on the utility service rendered, or on the right or privilege of rendering the service, or on any object or event incidental to the rendition of this service.
Multi-Family Residential
Applicability
Monthly rates are applicable to all multi-family home residential or multiple residential homes served by a single connection.

Other Charges
Applicability
Applicable to all customers.

Rates
- Extension of Service Fee—Customer requests service to include a new meter.** $1,079.11
- Hook-up or Reconnection Fee—Customer requests service to an existing but unserved meter*** $56.80
- Meter Testing Fee—Customer requests meter testing to verify accuracy of the meter. The Testing fee will be credited to the customer if, upon testing, the meter is found to be more than two percent (2%) in error against the customer**** $68.15
**Service request that includes installation of a new meter (extension of service, including cost of meter). Provided, however, that in circumstances that dictate higher installation costs, the customer shall pay the higher costs consistent with the NMPRC Rules
***New or restored service to an existing but unserved or disconnected meter.
****No fee for the first test performed at customer request within the last 12 months. Fee for subsequent tests performed at customer request refunded if meter is 2% fast.
- Service Trip Fees—All service trips, including:
- Trips made in connection with any of the above listed services on this rate sheet;
- Trips requested by a customer (e.g. thawing frozen service lines, checking for frozen meters, replacing meters, re-reading meters, checking for water leaks at a service address);
- And, trips required of New Mexico Water Service Company (e.g. trips to disconnect service where the customer avoids disconnection by making payment arrangements).
The Service Trip Fee will be credited to a customer if: (a) the Service Trip was necessitated by a situation that is within the responsibility of New Mexico Water Service Company per the Rules and Regulations of Water Service; and (b) the customer is not at fault for the situation.
Regular Business Hours $22.72
After Regular Business Hours in emergencies or subject to on-call employee Availability $34.08
- NSF (Non-Sufficient Funds) Fee—When a customer’s payment is refused for insufficient funds $28.40
