Farmington: Notice of April 7 Planned Water Outage for Farmington Subdivision

On Tuesday, April 7, 2026, New Mexico Water service will be installing new isolation valves to improve water supply reliability in Farmington. This will require a temporary water service interruption to some customers in the Farmington Subdivision, and may result in lower water pressure until the installation is complete. Water will be shut off at 9 a.m., and it is expected to be restored by 4 p.m. that same day.

In advance of the work being done, you may wish to fill a few sanitary containers and pitchers with water for drinking purposes. Filling a bucket or your bathtub with water can be useful for household purposes such as toilet flushing.

After this work has been completed and water service has been restored to your home, as a precaution we advise before using water inside, please run your outside hose bib until the water is clear. This is to prevent any discolored water from entering your faucets and fixtures and to evacuate air from your service line.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience as we make water system improvements that will benefit our community for years to come. Protecting your health and safety is our highest priority.
