Morningstar: Nov. 5 Planned Water Service Interruption
On Wednesday, November 5, 2025, New Mexico Water will be installing new isolation valves to improve water supply reliability in some areas of our Morningstar water system. This will require a temporary water service interruption to customers on Roads 3000, 3641, 3649, 3660, 3674, 3681, 3697, 3777, 3784, 3900 and 3905. Our staff will shut off the water between 9-11 a.m. and we expect to restore water service by 4 p.m. that same day.
In advance of the work being done, these customers may wish to fill a few sanitary containers and pitchers with water for drinking purposes. Filling a bucket or a bathtub with water can be useful for household purposes such as toilet flushing.
After this work has been completed and water service has been restored to homes, as a precaution we advise before using water inside, customers are advised to please run their outside hose bibs until the water is clear. This is to prevent any discolored water from entering your faucets and fixtures and to evacuate air from service lines.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience as we make water system improvements that will benefit our community for years to come. Protecting your health and safety is our highest priority.
