Indian Hills Water System conservation notice

Due to multiple factors, we are experiencing heavier water use than normal, and our aging source of supply and system are unable to meet our customers’ increased water needs. Additionally, current drought conditions are affecting the water table levels where we pump to supply water to our customers. In the next two to three weeks, we will begin constructing a new well for the system that will enable us to provide a reliable supply of high-quality water to our customers. We expect to complete the project in about two months.

During this two-month period, we are asking our customers to make every effort to conserve water where possible. In addition to your conservation efforts, we ask that if you see anything out of the ordinary (water running down the road or leaks, for example), please call us and report it. We are not shutting off water to do any work at this time and are hauling water into the system to help meet demand, so if you do not have water service, please call us as soon as possible.

Until the new well is in service, there is still a potential for temporary water outages. Customers in the higher elevation areas of the system are more susceptible to loss of service. Your assistance in conserving water and communicating service issues will help us make repairs promptly and provide the best service possible to our customers in the Indian Hills area.

We appreciate your assistance and attention to this matter and sincerely apologize for any inconvenience. For more information, please call our Customer Center at (505) 864-2218 and watch this page for updates.
